America, forever a gun nation (4/2018)

THE U.S.A. HAS BEEN A GUN NATION SINCE ITS INCEPTION

  • First to kill as many American Indians as possible to make America a territorial reality through a partial but immense and devastating genocide
  • To control a significant part of the world militarily from the early 20th century onward in order to « protect U.S. interests abroad »
  • To prevent or contain, mainly through police brutality, the judicial and prison systems, uprisings in underprivileged U.S. neighborhoods or against governmental programs when such uprisings could pose a risk to the U.S. political and economic systems

Their constitutionally approved gun nation has also been directly responsible for the killing of more and more of American children and teenagers at school or elsewhere.

U.S. lawmakers, democrats and republicans alike, continue to legalize five categories of extreme and often lethal violence

  1. The continuing theft of American Indian lands in currently uninhabited public lands located within old treaty areas, which amounts to an endorsement of past genocidal policies
  2. U.S. military control of large foreign areas
  3. Police brutality
  4. The prison system
  5. The second amendment of the U.S. constitution: the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed

These five forms of violence are an integral part of collective U.S. identity. They are directly connected to gun violence, the latter being largely responsible for the unity of the U.S.A.

If Americans want to change this collective identity for the better, reforms will not be enough. They have no other alternative than to get rid of the second amendment, police brutality, the prison system, the U.S. military industrial complex, while giving all public lands located in old treaty areas back to American Indian tribes.

To « make America great again », U.S. authorities just need to refine already existing forms of legal violence. But to make this land great, people need to do away with America as we know it.
